Ben is deputy editor of Skeptical Inquirer science magazine and a research fellow with the nonprofit educational organization the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry. He has written thousands of articles on a wide variety of topics, including urban legends, mysterious phenomena, critical thinking and media literacy. Ben is author, co-author or contributor to over twenty books and has won awards for his books and podcasting work. He also wrote and directed two short films.

Best known as a science-based investigator into unusual phenomena, Ben is a regular columnist for several outlets including LiveScience.com and Discovery News. He has been quoted as an expert by hundreds of media outlets including CNN, ABC News, BBC, CBC, The New York Times, Gizmodo, Forbes, The New York Times Magazine, The (London) Times Literary Supplement, Fortean Times, the Huffington Post, Scientific American, Wall Street Journal, Wired, and Vanity Fair. He has also appeared on dozens of television shows including “Good Morning America” and on the Discovery Channel, the History Channel, and the National Geographic Channel.

Celestia has spent her life working in written and graphic communication, fascinated at how words, cartoons, branding or optical illusions can influence (or fool) people. She has a bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University, where she majored in the Writing Seminars and minored in psychology, winning the Louis Sudler Prize in the Arts upon graduation. After working her way up from production assistant to senior manuscript editor at the Johns Hopkins University Press, she left academic publishing to move back to her hometown of Las Vegas and create Two Heads Studios.

Celestia began drawing live caricatures in college and continued on nights and weekends during her career as an editor. She served two terms as treasurer-secretary of the International Society of Caricature Artists and has presented at their annual conventions on marketing and client relations. Her awards over the years include three first-place wins for 3-D caricature, most humorous in 2021 and the 2016 Art Fight belt, won by drawing the most offensive caricatures of her opponents in a series of quick-draw duels. Between stints drawing at live events and creating commissioned illustrations, Celestia is an occasional columnist for AIPT Comics and Skeptical Inquirer and has spoken at LogiCAL in California, WeCanReason in Calgary and DragonCon in Atlanta.

In 2020, with live events paused, she joined Imagine Communications as PR coordinator, where she still works brainstorming, writing, editing and helping a variety of clients tell their stories.

Pascual is a musician, podcaster and communications industry engineer known for his diverse roles in music and media. Growing up in Santa Fe, the son of an anthropologist and a civil rights activist, he was surrounded by the richness of his own cultural background and that of the New Mexico region. His first experience performing and recording music was playing with his father in the New Mexican folk group Los Folcloristas de Nuevo Mexico.

As a bass player and vocalist, Pascual has contributed to projects by bands like In This Moment, Fear Factory and Black Veil Brides, spanning genres from death metal to industrial music. During his time in the film and television industry, he worked on shows including “Pushing Daisies” and has been involved in motion picture projects such as “Saw” and “3:10 to Yuma.”

In recent years, he pivoted to communications work and is currently a technical solutions engineer for a major internet service provider. He is active with many social justice causes, including sitting on the national and regional councils for his company’s diversity, equity and inclusion programs.
